Event payment and refund terms
Effective September 13, 2026
These terms explain what you accept when buying a paid Event ticket on Meetigen.
Your checkout decision
Before selecting Pay, confirm the Event, ticket tier, quantity, and total shown in checkout. You can change or decline the order before payment starts. Selecting Pay after agreeing to these terms asks the licensed provider to begin payment.
Payment and settlement
Paystack processes payment and payout activity. A browser return does not prove payment; Meetigen issues paid access only after verified provider confirmation. Paystack describes local settlement as T+2, meaning a target of two business days after the transaction. Timing may vary, and T+2 is not a buyer cancellation window or proof that organizer funds remain recoverable.
Voluntary cancellation
You may request an ordinary voluntary cancellation until 24 hours before the Event's scheduled start. After that deadline, an ordinary voluntary cancellation is not refundable. An eligible refund may exclude the Meetigen commission included in the ticket price and any Paystack processing fee Paystack does not return. A refund will never exceed what you paid.
Organizer responsibility
The organizer is responsible for delivering the Event. If the organizer cancels or does not deliver it, required refunds depend on recovering the seller funds needed for the affected orders. Meetigen will assist with recovery and provider submission but does not advance unavailable organizer money or promise a refund before the funds are available. Meetigen may pause or restrict accounts that do not resolve valid obligations.
Cancellation or postponement
If an Event is cancelled, not delivered, or materially postponed, the options communicated for that Event apply together with mandatory law. A ticket remains subject to the Event's authoritative status; a cancellation notice alone is not proof that a refund completed.
Refund progress
A refund request is not a completed refund. Meetigen may show recovery, submission, Paystack processing, completed, or review states. Only verified provider evidence can mark a refund completed.
Mandatory rights remain
These operational terms do not remove any consumer right or provider requirement that the law does not allow the parties to waive. A legal or provider mandate may require separate review and handling.
