Meetigen is a Saamoja product. This notice explains the personal information used when you visit or use Meetigen.
Who is responsible
Saamoja operates Meetigen and is responsible for the product's handling of personal information. Some service providers process information under their own privacy terms when they deliver a service directly to you.
Information we collect
We process account identifiers and verified contact claims, profile details, preferences, content and messages you submit, Event and Community activity, ticket and order records, security and device information, and the latest location you choose to share for nearby discovery. Necessary cookies and local device storage support sign-in, security, preferences, and offline features.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate accounts, provide and personalize Meetigen, enable Events and Communities, deliver messages and tickets, prevent abuse, protect users, support marketplace transactions, meet legal duties, and improve reliability. We do not provide a reusable stored-value wallet and do not sell personal information.
What other people can see
Your name, username, avatar, bio, and permitted public activity can appear on your public profile and shared Event or Community pages. Private account settings, exact coordinates, private messages, orders, tickets, financial records, and identity-verification evidence are not public profile data.
Service providers and transfers
Meetigen uses providers such as Supabase for application infrastructure and authentication, Resend for email, Google Maps for map features, Paystack for regulated payment services, and Smile ID for hosted seller identity verification. Providers receive information needed for their service and may process it in other countries under their contractual and legal safeguards.
Seller identity verification
Identity capture takes place with the hosted verification provider. Meetigen does not retain reusable identity-document images, raw identity numbers, dates of birth, or selfies. We retain minimal provider references, protected duplicate-detection fingerprints, normalized checks, decisions, and audit evidence needed for marketplace safety and compliance.
Retention and protection
Retention depends on the record and its purpose. Expiring experience content is removed under its product lifecycle, while security, marketplace, payment, ticket, dispute, and audit evidence may be retained for legal, safety, and accounting obligations. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, unless an obligation or active dispute requires it, and apply access controls and technical safeguards appropriate to the data.
Your choices and rights
You can edit your profile and preferences, control device location permission, block other accounts, and sign out of sessions from your account settings. Depending on applicable law, you may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of personal information, subject to identity verification and lawful retention duties.
